Behind Les Maisons de la Cigale is a family: Matyas and Anaïs. No hotel chain, no anonymous front desk — just a couple who set out to turn this corner of Provence into a place you keep coming back to.
A family story in Provence
The La Cigale estate is five houses nestled among olive trees and vineyards, in the village of Les Arcs-sur-Argens. When we took over this place, we wanted to make it the kind of spot we were always looking for on our own holidays: independent houses where everyone has their own space, a proper heated pool, and the freedom to live at your own pace.
Today the estate welcomes families and friends from all over Europe — many come back year after year, and that is the greatest reward we could ask for.
Matyas and Anaïs, your hosts
Matyas is a landscape gardener by trade: the olive grove, the hedges and the estate grounds are his work — and it shows. Anaïs looks after Bar La Cigale and the breakfast service, and she is the one who dreams up the little touches that turn a stay into a memory.
We live right here in Provence, and we welcome every guest personally on arrival. A question during your stay? We are just a few steps away — in French, English, Dutch or German.
What we have created for you
Season after season, the estate keeps growing: the heated pool so you can enjoy the water from May to October, the summer kitchen for long meals around the table, Bar La Cigale for an aperitif by the water, breakfast delivered to your doorstep in the morning, fibre-optic internet right inside the houses, and air conditioning for the Var summers.
